I don't know if it's a cheat but here is the cheat:
Steps:
1) Play Mafia Wars and click on the Jobs page
2) Open cheat engine, the latest version
3) Scan for the browser you're using.
4) At the bottom RIGHT, you can see "enable speed hack". Click/tick it.
5) Drag the pointer to 20 and click apply or type 500 and press enter.
You will now see the time speeding up very, very fast! :)
6) Click on jobs. LOL
Dunno if this can be a considered a cheat but it's a tip and it worked for me! :)
